For the Shrek film I’m pretty sure Shrek was originally based a bit on Chris Farley who Mike Meyers was replacing after he died. So it’s understandable he wanted to change it because otherwise he would be playing a character that had similarities to someone that died, which can be hard to make a comedic movie when you’re constantly reminded of the person the character was originally casted for.

I find it hard to criticize Adam Sandler for his acting ability and work ethic with movies that he has done like " Uncut Jems " and a few other dramas he has done.

Adam Sandler is a real one. Most of his recent productions haven't been fantastic, but his acting in 'Uncut Gems' was great. Fantastic film.

Christian Bale would have hated Heath Ledger skating around the set. There's a picture of him doing an ollie over Batman while he was on the ground and he stayed in character and was on set, even when he didn't have to be.
