Great advice! I told my son use decent line and terminal tackle and master knots. A proper net and unhooking mat are also a must.

I just trow corn on a hook with a 20$ dollar Walmart pole and caught a 25.4 pound carp in spring 😂

been trying carp fishing 2 times now. got 3 smaller 13-16 pound carps and one 24 pounder :) as beginner I feel most important thing to me was understanding that you need to have comfortable bed and good chair

So give slack line instead of tight line. Use dark tackle in stead of brass. Use the hair rig with corn and chum with corn. I’m having a rough time catching these guys. Much harder than bass fishing at the moment

Just go to the nearest neighborhood pond they normally get stocked with grass carp that get massive so toss out a circle hook with glob of worms and you’ll hook up soon enough got me a 4 ft 30-40lb grass carp doing that earlier today

Hi Carl I’ve been stumped about something for a bit and wanted to see if you knew, I don’t know if to use mono or braid for free lining, becuase I fish places with a bunch of snags and if I were to use mono I would probley snap off but braid is to visible for stalk fishing and free lining. Have any advice?

I use 12lb line and the carp aren't too big but the lake I fish with my dad is very weedy every carp in the lake is 10lb and the biggest being 20lb how would you take this lake on?

Yes some 12lb line at last everyone uses like 20 I feel like or 40 me and my dad use 12 and I got a 24lb carp with it and my dad got a 25lb I had corn aswell lol

I caught a 58 pound carp and I have pictures with me with it in cever lake and I used 15 pound line and with use a lure it’s call whopper plopper and I made fish think it was a cicada and the carp ate it
