Free lining is my favorite. Even in slow current, intracoastal settings. So much fun. Great vid.

I was fishing the other day at my local dam and caught nothing! I watched your video and set up a hair rig. I caught 4 specimen carp which I was stoked by! Thank you for your videos and keep up with the amazing effort you put into you're videos! 🙌

Don't worry too much about rigs guys I've fished for nearly 40 years and the basic bottom bait and pop up rig have bagged me thousands of carp and plenty of biggies. Concern your self more with finding the fish even if it takes hours to find them 👌

I only do instant fishing so Chod Rig is my standard go to setup. I love it's simplicty and you are almost always guarenteed a good presentation even when it's weedy.

Hi Carl, great rig tutorial. Love free lining and stalking big carp in the late summer months, is such a rush when that lump of crusty bread gets sucked in. My new mat came the in the post, thank you so much.

As a new-ish fisherman, I’ve got most of the basic gear for float fishing now and typically catching 4-8lb carp (very happy). I do want to venture onto bigger lakes - but I don’t think my equipment will be sufficient. Are you guys looking to do a video on what to look out for with rods and reels, because it’s hard to find useful information on what to look out for..

My mother caught some trout on Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese left over from lunch when we were camping in Colorado one time.

My father and I had baits we were using and were proud of the three fish we got.

When we showed up back at camp she had already cleaned her five fish

New to your channel! Also new to carp fishing! Love your channel! Learning so much from you, so thank you! Please just keep them coming!

Please could you maybe do a video if you haven’t already done one on what rod and reels you think are a good set up for a beginner. All my rods and reels are different from each other and I want to get them to be all the same as it’s driving me mad 😂

I've never used zigs, normally I opt for a big heavy self weighted pellet waggler in those situations, works with hair rig and carp self hook providing the waggler is heavy enough and hook is sharp, I chuck it out and pop it on the bite alarm, but it works best with a big worm straight on the hook rather than hair rig.

I have your book, Simple Fishing Guidebook, which is very informative, but I am finding it hard to learn how to tie knots and to use various items like Swivels, and all the different attachments to fix things to my line. Do you intend to publish a book purely on how to tie and use such things, or have you already published one. I found loads on this YouTube of yours but can’t be watching my iPad while fishing. I need a book where everything is in one place such as this brilliant book of yours. Thankyou.
