So I have hated my name my entire life. I am looking to change it soon as the court houses open back up from the virus. If I tell the judge that my name just makes me really embarrassed and I’ve always wanted to change it and it really effects my social life he will approve it? Did they notify your family at all about your name change? Like is there a way to keep your family from knowing you legally changed your name?

I watched this because my birth parents disowned me when my daughter came out. I want us to have my grandmothers maiden name that no one in that immediately family has and that ties us to our native american roots. My first name is the name my adopted mom choose which is rainbear. I want to keep my middle name which is my grandmothers middle name. I have legally changed my name before when I got divorced. But this time changing first name too. I am curious though do you keep the same birth certificate?
