Mushrooms are becoming one of the most popular meat alternatives on the food market today but given the specific conditions in which they thrive, they are still industrially produced, so how do they do it?

I just moved away from Kennett Square (I lived in a bordering town) and let me tell you some things they do not mention.
All surrounding areas smell like shit because of the farms. They say you get used to it, but after living there for 20 years, I can confirm you do not.
These mushroom companies have been saying for years they are working to reduce the smell. Trust me, they are not.
They pay their workers (usually Mexican) very little money and work them tirelessly.
Besides the nasty smell of shit in the morning, Kennett Square is a nice small town but I'm so I happy I left 😂

It's a pity they don't harvest the heat given off in the fermentation process: after the initial investment of setting up the capturing equipment, that could save very large amounts of money in the long run.
