The Assassin’s Blade is a collection of 4-5 novellas!! That’s why it’s 400 pages because they combined all the novellas into one book❤

For short fantasies I’d recommend A Curse So Dark and Lonely (it’s a trilogy) by Brigid Kemmerer, Passenger by Alexandra Bracken (a duology), and This Savage Song by VE Schwab (a duology)!

An enchantment of ravens for example is a standalone fantasy book and its with fairies, gives the cruel prince and general autumnal vibes. Protagonist is a painter I believe. I personally really enjoyed it 😊

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor is 2 books. They look huge but the writing is really simple and atmospheric. A truly beautiful duet that I highly recommend

A touch of darkness is a stand alone book but there are 4 more books in the series but it can be read as a stand alone. Its such a good fantasy romance book

Defy the Night (it’s second book is Defend the Dawn) is an incredible book. Fantasy with romance, just up your alley. I haven’t read the second book yet but the first was SO good!!

If you want to read a fantasy book i can recommend "She who became the sun". It is a really interesting story about a girl who wants to fulfill her brothers fate/destiny. I cant really explain it and will not say more. ( And i think that there are only one book right now, but the second will be released this year).
Another Duology i really liked was "The six crimson cranes". It mostly some kind of an Asian fairy tale retelling. Which is a beautiful written romantic story with sibling bonds, adventure and Dragons.

there are a lot of fantasy duologies and trilogies that are normally pretty short, idk abt recs since idk your taste in books but also bc i read pretty chunky fantasy books

The six of crows duology is so good. found family, heists, the whole nine yards. People say you have to read the shadow and bone triology before you go into six of crows. But I've read both series and although I do love the shadow and bone books, you can read six of crows without shadow and bone.
