I school in Japan. Since we have lunches provided by the school itself, we have different kinds of food everyday; & whenever we have curry, everyone is excited to eat. Before school ends they have an anklet for what our favorite lunches were (as long as we've already eaten it before at school) & we have it on the last few weeks there. A lot of people write curry. It tastes great.

As an American I make Japanese curry all the time. I keep lots in the freezer and whip it out whenever I want a comfy, satisfying meal. One of the most delicious dishes!

As a Japanese, this brings back many memories 😭 Curry was often made by my grandmother.
I remember how excited all my elementary school classmates were when there was a day when curry was served at school lunch.

Fun fact: curry is an “exotic” food in Japan. It was introduced by the British and was widely adopted when the navy sought to better the diet of their sailors since so many had vitamin deficiencies.
Curry also is written in katakana - the alphabet used for foreign loan words

If you have a pressure cooker the veggies are softer and they are easier to eat. Also curry tastes good with mushrooms celery and broccoli too. But honestly curry tastes the best on the second day.

I love Japanese curry! I've tried curries from different countries (Jamaican, Indian, Thai, Trinidadian) but Japanese curry is the easiest to make, and you literally can't mess it up lol. Always delicious
