Do you want to build more width in your back, or are you instead looking to build more thickness and detail? We all have our strengths and our weaknesses, but in order to put muscle where we want it, and sculpt perfect proportions, it's important to learn how-to target specific muscles. If you want more width it's going to be your Teres Major and your Lats. If you want more thickness and detail in your back you need to work the medial and inferior portion of your traps, as well as your infraspinatus, and spinal erectors. In this video we go into the gym and cover each of these muscles, from what they do and how to target them in our training.

Just recently stumbled across your youtube channel. I was searching for various workouts to target muscle groups. I've trolled many youtube channels for some time and I have to say yours is the best in my opinion. Its just simple and straight to the point. I'm not a bodybuilder, just maintaining overall health and fitness, but these workouts are great for maintaining muscle fitness.

The anatomical explanation that are at the beginning of your videos are simply amazing...every serious channel that talks about bodybuilding should insert in the videos parts where the sense of the exercises that are showed is revealed...great job man!

finally someone who knows what they're actually talking about. Everything this guy is saying is straight out of my anatomy and medicine classes. Loving how you are able to explain, with clarity i might add, the different origin and insertion pints of each muscle, and how that relates to working each particular muscle in a certain way. well done champ i've just watched all your videos and look forward to future ones yet to be released. This channel presents material more clearly and effectively than any other YouTube fitness channel that I have come across. No BS just practical knowledge. I love the anatomy vids and I really enjoy your full workout videos...really hope you get into some nutrition videos as well.

Hey James! I really want to thank you for this video.

I had surgery for scoliosis when I was 14. I've had a hard time over the past decade gaining strength back once all the muscles got moved around and stuff from the surgery. Over time, I've figured stuff out on my own and have a pretty solid workout going for it, but I've NEVER found a video this helpful.

Like I said, I REALLY appreciate it. I look forward to the next one.

This is one awesome instructional/workout channel! I've been lifting for many years but you humble me with your videos, workouts and detail instructions to those workouts. I never been more sore lifting weights much lighter than I was used to before discovering your channel! It really hithome with the mind/muscle connection you are always preaching about and not just throwing tons of weight around. I look forward to your videos and workouts! Keep up the great work!

Great educational video James. I find it really helpful to know about muscle functions to better target them rather than just posting video exercises and workouts like other youtubers. Great job!
