Almost 20 ago I read a book called “The Obesity Myth “ by Paul Campos. I actually wrote a thesis type paper on it - whether the author met the burden of proof for his theory. In his book, I recall him pointing g out that industry makes money off people being obese and if we weren’t obese they’d lose money. I remember it being very eye-opening at that time.

That's why I love Keto, basically meat and eggs with some veg; I started with bacon and eggs in the morning and then different 'meat during the day. I began w 3 meals and am now down to one meal an a large snack early evening. Lost weight (50 lbs), reversed my diabetes (A1C 10.1 to 5.2, but it took 2 years), but I was too late as I'm older and have missed the window. I should have stuck with Atkins years ago when I lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks. Unfortunately Thanksgiving happened, plus I really didn't understand the science behind it all.

Somehow it never occurred to me it was so easy for me to go keto partly because I had already given up processed sugar (but not the grains and starches.) I didn't have to "give up" sugar.

PS: I was already down under 25g of sugar on My Fitness Pal. I hadn't cut the other carbs. Even fasting didn't "stick" until I went keto. For me, keto and fasting go hand in hand.

You are such a lovely lady!
I had to do keto not because of weight (I only weighed 53kgs) but because of insulin resistance … I love meeting other like minded people even virtually

I complement your videos. But only have to add that it seems that you mention type 2 diabetes with obesity often. We must remind the people who are not yet or not currently obese that these low or no carb principles still apply to them. I’ve personally watched relatives decline to amputations and other complications while they thought they were eating healthy but were not.
