Problem: Anakin wasn't part of Order 66 programming. In the Clone Wars series when Tup goes haywire he looks Anakin dead in the eye but doesn't attack until he sees the other jedi, meaning Anakin was left out of the Order 66 targeting on purpose. After all, Palpatine had planned to have him lead the clones executing Order 66. Palpatine wouldn't have time to re-insert him as a target if Anakin arrested him. He was under watch the entire time. This would have had a significant effect on the temple defense. Anakin served with the 501st as the leader and if he wasn't a target he probably could have talked them down long enough to let the Jedi escape or at least have several masters take out Maul and Palpatine.

I love how you did this one! Having the Jedi lose regardless but still surviving gives me a "Dark Knight" vibe type of ending which is always enjoyable. Anakin unleashing his power and gaining some galactic judgment on Sidious was amazing. Sad about what happened to Obi-Wan, but still an amazing fic regardless!

Hm, I think a better and more logical end to this story would be Padme speaking to the Senate about the truth. I don't see any reason for her to hide from the Republic because she was still a very respected senator, and was known for her close relationship with Chancellor Palpatine. If Padme were to give a speech in front of the Senate revealing the whole truth about Palpatine and the Jedi and what happened on the day of Order 66, very few would suspect her of lying, because why would she, a respected senator, lie about her fellow former Naboo senator Palpatine? She could explain everything to the Senate, help clear the name of the Jedi. This is what I see the logical end to this story as.
