My only method of transport is 1989 2.5 factory original/stock Laredo YJ beside 1979 Shovelhead. No need to change either one.

got me a canadian built 1990 yj 258cid last of the carburetors. 6" overall lift, sye, gm stand alone hei, gm 1 wire 100 amp alt, 1 piece front axle, spartan locker front, re geared to 4:10 The rest is mostly stock, built the jeep for prospecting, likely has more hours on it in low range 4X4 than 2 wheel drive.
me the dog and the yj are getting old so we do not go out and have much fun 4X4 as we use too, but heck city folks use my 'driveway' to the placer claim for 4X4 fun.

I did a 4 inch rough country lift on my 1993YJ.
Just a little advice when going 4 inches, purchase 6° leaf spring shims or else you will not have enough caster to keep your jeep rolling straight down the highway. The basic rule of thumb for lifting a YJ is 1° to 1 1/2° of castor per 1 inch of lift. One and a half degree is possibly preferable over the 1° due to the short wheelbase of the Yj

I’m an older guy and need to find a good step to get in and out. My 1990 had a 3” lift when purchased. Enjoyed the video. Tks.

Where did you get your seats? Just purchased one three days ago. In great shape and rust free. Tks for sharing.

Great effort is being made to drive us all to "e-vehicles" I hope most realize this is never about us, but about control of us. I've only recently become a "Jeep enthusiast" and every video regarding upgrades is filled with advertising directing our future away from freedom and into electric car future. I first learned of this back in the late sixties when the effort abjectly failed because "battery power" was obviously insufficient and way too many folks, mechanics and owners, understood the facts inherently. It seems today far too few know the math and we are far closer to "fifteen minute cities" by our nature these days. Jeeps are Jeeps and "cars are cages", this coming from a biker turned Jeep owner.

Great advice. I love my YJ! Always ask your Jeeples for suggestions.

Hey I’m trying to replace the battery in my 88 YJ. The old battery came out fine but the new battery does not fit. I bought the same exact battery that I took out. Any ideas?

Is it reliable? Is it fixable when something breaks down?

I’d be interested in that factory center console? Willing to ship to Maryland? Also what subwoofer console are you getting?

95 YJ. The bracket above the windshield that the top attaches to. Bolts keep coming loose letting in air and water. Suggestion?? Spot weld and eliminate the screws?

What did you order for the center console with the sub in it?

What SmittyBilt console did you use? The factory console in my Jeep YJ is 21" deep. Anything longer than that begins to interfere with leg room for the rear seat. Appreciate suggestions!

Yeah. I got rough Country lift kit but it was just spacers. It was fine but I'm picky and I didn't like it as level as it was because my Jeep handles a little bit better when it has some "rake". So I swapped the rear for teraflex.
That cost me an extra $150 because changing the lift required another alignment.

Do what they say to do : buy once, cry once.
