The irony of this video is that it's making everyone aware and now there's an even greater probability of these prices increasing.

You can argue about the headlights (I like em both: round AND rectangular) but you can't argue about the 4.0

I love my 94 YJ! Dead reliable with the 4.0 and 5 speed.

I search for a 1995 Jeep YJ as I knew about the galvanized bodies and frames for a few years and 4 years ago found a decent one with absolutely no rust. Traded the half doors on day one for full doors, should have kept them and just purchased the full doors. Bought a used hard top and tossed the rag top which had seen better days. Bought and installed front and rear hitches. The hitches were used, but completely functional. Installed new brakes and stainless steel brake lines. Installed all new hoses. Installed LED bulbs for the dash which made a huge difference in gauge visibility. I had the car fully primed and painted and it looks beautiful! I could not locate one with the 4.0 liter engine, however the 2.5 liter is a very good engine and starts every time even when sitting for a few weeks as this car is not my daily driver. Having the 5 speed transmission really helps.

Thanks for the video.

I've owned my '91 YJ Sahara for just over 20 years. I hope to keep if for the rest of my life...

I own a clean '89 YJ and absolutely love it. I remember the YJ coming out in '87 and the hype over the square head lights. That being said I remember a bigger thing happening in '97 when the TJ was introduced. Coil springs! That was really insane. Now look how cherished coil springs are. Now 30 years later I find that my YJ is referred to as the last if the original Jeeps. Just shows how hesitant people ar over change.

My dad had one of these when I was growing up. The YJ has a special place in my heart. Maybe someday I'll be able to pick up one with the 5 speed, straight six, and beautiful green paint.

Amen. I've got a 92 Sahara YJ 6 cyl. manual and love working on it myself. I don' t need the creature comforts of today. I hope to always keep it. It's a classic at 28 years old.

1988 with 63000 miles on it, was thinking of selling it but now I'm gonna hold on to it now

Ive had my 95 YJ 4.0 HO automatic for 25 years now, drove it to work today, very dependable, it's stock except for tires and wheels 31x10.50's and a chrome front bumper. What I noticed over the newer jeeps I owned is it drives straight down the road, I can enjoy the sight's without running off the road.

Also I never understood the YJ hate. The only clear explanation I could get was the square headlights, which I always thought looked good.

Been throughly enjoying my 1990 YJ 2.5L for the past 3 years. Have done the usual maintenance and few repairs, but no major stuff and still basically stock condition with over 290, 000 miles. Paid $3, 700. for it, but it would take considerable more dollars for me to sell as I know now what it's capable of and the condition that it's in now. Just a fun weekend driver for an old guy Lol.

This video needs to be “buy every Jeep made before 2006” before they become unobtainable “ I say this as a jk owner

They were also used on Jurassic Park, which is why I grew up liking them

I got a 93 with a manual gearbox and inline six last year and I absolutely love tooting around town in it! Such a blast to drive during the summer with the top off, and pretty cheap and easy to work on as well. I love it and don't ever plan to let it go.

I had a '83 CJ7... Started with a clapped out AMC 4 cylinder, swapped it to a 258, did an emissions delete and put on a Holley 2 bbl carb. The trans needed work when I sold it but it was a solid runner. I miss that rig.

Great video, I have a 1991YJ, 4 liter six cylinder. I bought it new, and I still have it. I am now in the process of restoring it, my little project I love it.

Love my 95 2.5 liter. The simplicity, ease of maintenance and wrenching. Got the JK first year out and what trash, sold it! I miss the coils but that's it. Nice video.
