Two Men Jailed For Thirty-Two Months For Anti-Muslim Riots In UK

Two men were on August 8 jailed for two years and eight months for violent disorder during anti-Muslim riots last week after the killing of three girls in northwest England.

John O'Malley, 43, and William Nelson Morgan, 69, were sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court. Morgan was issued a Serious Violence Reduction Order (SVRO) for weapon possession.

Judge Andrew Menary said that the offences arose out of "deplorable mass public disorder," in Liverpool and Southport.

More than 400 people have been arrested across the country and Britain's most senior police officer, London Commissioner Mark Rowley, said more had been arrested on Thursday morning, including many with criminal backgrounds.

The government has secured hundreds of prison places to jail those engaged in violence which erupted after three young girls were killed in a knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed event in the seaside town of Southport.
