This might be one of the coolest things I've done. In today's video, we're touring St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. It's an absolutely beautiful church, and Fr. Joshua Caswell shares with us the history of the church as well as the deep meaning imbedded in the design. I learned so much throughout this tour, and whether you're Catholic or not, I think you'll love seeing this incredible church and hearing Fr. Joshua's infectious love for Cantius. If you love architecture, churches, theology, or history, you'll devour this video. From relics of martyrs to icons with versace necklaces, Cantius has it all. This truly is one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in America. The best part is, everything has intention. The theology of the church is engraved in the floor... literally. You'll just have to see. Get ready to fall in love with St. John Cantius in Chicago, IL and learn more than you ever thought there was to know about the inside of a Catholic Church.

I was raised roman-catholic, and no matter where I go, no matter what country, if i enter a roman-catholic churche, I feel home. The symbolism, the smell, the colours, the atmosphere...

Cried thru most of it. As a Pentecostal that is in the process of converting to Catholicism ... I so resonate with the Priest

Sometimes we cradle Catholics take for granted the richness of our faith and churches. This is an amazing 19th century church. Breathtaking!

All the symbolism within a Catholic Church is one of the MANY reasons that I converted to Catholicism, the most important reason being the Eucharist. Beautiful video. Thank you.

I liked what the priest said about many Catholic Churches built since the 1970’s resembling “Pizza Hut”. I love the old churches with their ornate interiors you “feel” like you are in the presence of something sacred and larger than you. They are monuments to God and his glory.

I converted to the Catholic Faith from my Baptist and then Non-denominational Background in 2007 - a year before my husband suddenly died. When I was converting I found out my husband had been raised Catholic by his Polish mother. My conversion led him back to the Faith just in time before his death. The True Ancient Catholic Faith is amazing and so deep in meaning. Do not judge the faith by some of the modernist almost secular Parishes you see these days. St. John Cantius is more what the church has been like for thousands of years.

I wish all Catholic churches look like this. I lived in Europe for 3 years even the most simple Catholic Church in Europe is beautiful. The extravagant churches in Europe are extraordinary. I just wish we had more of that in the US. From a protestant background converting to the Catholic Church started with a prayer in the Catholic Church in Europe. The beauty and peace I got from it started my path to come home.

This tour should be offered at least once a year in every Catholic Church. Most Catholics were never taught this or have long forgotten it.

I was United Methodist and Baptist but converted to Catholicism in my 20s. I go to Tridentine High Mass and Divine Liturgy on Sundays. Love the Gregorian Chants. Thank you for the video, St. Cantius has amazing liturgies on their YouTube channel.
