safer? that's speculative... performance... once you get into the 5sec 0 to 60 I question needing more on public roads. if u use non house charging the cost to recharge isn't so great

better technology what does that mean? modern cars all are equipped with tons of tech... not sure about the fire thing...

of course you picked things you think you can defend

there is still
range anxiety
now days lines to wait to charge
road trips need extra hours to get that charge
and don't road trip in Virginia in the winter or you can't even get a charge at a super charger
tires wear out faster
when you do have a battery issue.. it may be covered but certain T cars you wait months for that battery warranty service
and if the 12v is dead you have to do shenanigans to pop the frunk to get the doors to open

and try to explain to the back seat how to open the door if the battery is dead

Stop Fast DC Charging all the time, once a week is ok but use level 2 at home, save money and your car will last way longer then a gas car

For the record, you can’t build an EV without oil. In fact it takes more oil to build an EV than an ICE counterpart. However, that may change significantly once battery makers switch to sodium-ion chemistry altogether.

Long-term: sodium-ion-powered EV + personal solar recharging is the way forward. Unfortunately, less than 50% of global consumers will be able to pull that off.
