Who would have thought ? In Australia the Govt promoted diesel and when people bought diesels they jacked diesel. They pushed propane, when people converted, they jacked propane. They are doing the same with electricity.

You are correct Scotty. I charged my EV to go 100 miles. It cost me $48 at a high speed charger. It’s way cheaper to drive a Honda civic.

Totally agree with you. I had a dead hybrid. $2500 for a refurbished battery. $13, 000 for a new one. I will not buy a hybrid or eV ever. I learned the hard way.

The reason some chargers bill by the minute instead of the kwh is because selling electricity directly to consumers from a third party isn't legal. So they have to bill you by the minute.

How much is your time worth to sit there and wait for a charger, then wait an hour for your car to charge? They damn near leveled the Congo for lithium. It’s just insane.

Where are you getting your data? I've not seen anything close to that per mile for electric vehicles and I'm not finding any link s or references in the description.

I rented a '21 Tesla Model Y last week just out of curiosity. I was amazed how much power is consumed when you're not even using them! Also found the AC sucks in Arizona summer heat. The instant torque was fun. But I don't expect to buy one in the next few decades. My old gas burners don't use any gas when they're turned off. I drive them enough their batteries stay charged. And I can fill them up in about five minutes or less practically anywhere. Best of all, they're paid for and have been for quite a while.
