Going grocery shopping only to find yourself with a new Orchid can be a fun prize to bring home. What happens when you then have to care for the Orchid and really are unsure of what to do? I found myself in this situation and I want to show you that it really is easy to do with a little education and information.

I started watching you over the winter when you started your winter sowing experiments. A friend of mine recently gave me an orchid for my birthday which i know nothing about growing. So i started to do some research and your channel popped up. I did exactly what you did with the one she gave me . I repoted it right away with the miracle grow orchid mix a few days ago. Watering is different for everyone depending on your climate. So that will be a new learning experiment for me as to not overwater or underwater. Would love if you would do a follow up video on how their growing. Last year i was new at growing amaryllis which i just put away for dormancy for the first time. So hopefully they'll bloom for me again when i bring them out. I love trying to grow new plants. This year was the first year of me successfully growing broccoli without the cabbage moth getting it. And the taste was amazing!!!

I hope you dried out the center growing area. I noticed it was submerged in water while you were soaking it. Orchids are very susceptible to rot when they get water in that area.
