"something comes from nothing" makes no sense whatsoever. It never will.

but where did the nothing come from?!?!

Scientists say how sometthing billions of years happen but yet 5% of our ocean has been discovered

The true answer is either extremely simple, like it was created by something (god for example) or it was created by something we simply cannot comprehend. Like explaining advanced mathematics to a chimp.

Now I know you are way more knowledgeable of things than I am but if you have a big bang which the entity we give the designation of universe that if you break down the word or designation NOTHING it doesn't mean that there was zero universe before this big bang it is the designation that we previously gave to the universe to distinguish it as an entity separate from it's members and parts that before this wasn't distinguishable through any designations available because by definition nothing is something it has characteristics attributes it's finite in one two and three dimensions and is self contained separate entity that occupies space but separate from space but shares spatial characteristics just would like to know how far off I am when in my observation in the light of experience through physical interaction with my environment has lead me to this conclusion. The universe existed before this big bang we just didn't call it the universe because prior to the big bang our consciousness couldn't comprehend, categorize and designate a concept so large we called it nothing thank you for your time my name is Christopher Evan Sanders

It makes no sense that something can come from literally nothing. Something in th nothing must have caused the something, therefore the nothing wasn't nothing. How could complex atoms just arise from nothing?

It also makes no sense that something has always existed.

When you go full science you get back to magic.

We live in a cause and effect universe. The beginning energy had to come from somewhere.

Nonsense is still nonsense even when said by intelligent people.

The laws of physics, which are dependent on spacetime existing, were able to create all spacetime/matter/energy before any of them existed? smh...

They say it’s a mystery, but how do they find it so hard to even consider a being beyond all laws of nature, physics and time as the universe’s possible architect? Surely that would be at the very least a possibility, and sounds a lot less far fetched than nothing somehow becoming something.

I'm just waiting for a big bang to happen in my living room from completely nothing, zero, zip lol smh 0+0=Everything

Lawrence has the freedom to choose to believe anything. I personally believe that something from nothing defies logic & evidence. In short it’s a ridiculous statement.

Lawrence said, "the laws of physics allow that to happen" (when speaking about the universe being created from nothing), the laws of physics had to come from somewhere as well. It would be wrong to presume that they too came from nothing. We discover the laws of physics, not create them.

People usually fail to understand the idea of "nothingness", its because when you think about "Nothingness" you are still thinking about something, like an infinite black space which isn't nothing by our definition of nothingness, so the idea here is that what we actually call nothingness, is actually infinite no. of things which cancel each others effect like in mathematics when you balance an equation like eg 1+2=3, we are actually creating 0 effect because we have got 3 from both sides.

The same thing is explained by physics, it says absolute vaccum is not possible because even if it looks like there's nothing in there, there are still positive and negative particles appearing and disappearing at the same time in equal no.s creating a 0 effect which we see from the outside.
