Very energetic and enthusiast uncle! Very modest living for the family as well.Even after loosing so much and life clearly not going the best way, he is laughing his way easily. Such an inspiration.

I live in a London commuter town with 35 mins into Central London and pay a mortgage of 1100 pounds (roughly 1.2 lakhs per current exchange rate). Mumbai with a below average infrastructure is charging hefty amounts!

Even though he's rich, but felt bad over his financial loss
Can't imagine a poor/middle class facing similar situation 😔

Sad & Bad part is not the Rent but the Cash Investment Destruction of ₹ 1.4 crores via a builder at Goregaon property

There's nothing spectacular about the apartment. Sad state of affairs that such an exorbitant rent is commanded only because of the location

This is reality of government sector officers as all the facilities instantly taken off after retirement. I can totally relate seeing my elders getting retired from top notch post of public / government. Hats off to you sir at the age of 78 you are doing great. You maintained so well.

Removing shoes just before entering someone's house is the minimum manners in India and courtesy for the elderly person whose house you have visited.

This gentleman is an inspiration to all of us inspite of facing acute difficulties & hardships in his life. Let God give him strength to withstand all difficulties faced by him.

This Obsession about Bombay Scottish should stop. I would rent an apartment at a lower rate in Mahim / Matunga and prefer Don Bosco, Matunga school over Scottish, end of the day, they're either going to Ruia/Ruparel or some college in South Mumbai.

If not just move to Vile Parle, you'll have more options like Utpal Shangvi, Maneckji Cooper, Chhatrabhuj Narsee.

I could clearly see the stupidity/ obsession with Prabhadevi.

Side note- I remember paper ads of RNA Exotica (Goregaon), I'm sure he'd have put his kids there in St Johns or Gokuldham/Yashodham.

Its really unfortunate and saddening to see people of Ashok Ji's age being pushed into such a helpless situation where in spite of paying for their well being and comfort during old age, they are still not only left hanging but pushed into a corner having no remedy or help from anywhere. Hope he gets his apartment as soon as possible.

Mumbai needs a massive correction in property and rental prices. Such exorbitant rents only because of the 'location'. How long can you keep ripping off people like this. Something needs to change.

Simple thing is Mumbai is not New york.or geneva The relaity is rich people sucking income of Middle and lower middle class people. The misfortune is people are compelled to pay exorbitant amount. I am not saying propwrty is not good but 1, 20, 000₹₹ is really excruciating. Simple is Mahool Banao aur logo ko looti not in Mumbai but everywhere. Again i am not criticizing flat but jis tarah se logo.ko.loota ja Raha hai is concering.
