Did a majority of my growing up in the 1980's and the teaching of Russia (USSR back then) said to be Gog/ Magog was a part of my belief as traditionally taught; in my early 50s I recently started to stray from the traditional teaching of this particular prophecy from Ezekiel and your guest had given me so much inspiration understanding to my gradual departure from the traditional teaching of this prophecy.

Historically speaking Gog and Magog are ancient cities that existed in ancient Turkey and the prophet Ezekiel lived in that time some 2600 year's ago.

Yes, Gog of Magog is the prince/leader of Russia. Gog is not the Antichrist, because Gog is buried in the Valley of Hamongog in northern Israel, but the Antichrist is cast alive into the lake of fire.

The use and phrase Gog and Magog is actually used to denote a set number in this case. 71 or something like that. Basically, it ties into that All the nations of the world will go against them. As I can't remember the exact vrs, but the books of the bible say there are only 71 or whatever the same number is true nations of the world. It's a numerical number written in the way they expressed numbers.
