Always tricky trying to interpret prophesy. I think prophesy is given in broad vague strokes to keep us looking up and forward. Other current commentators have Gomer as Germany and Ethiopia as Saudi Arabia. Almost a Rorschach Ink Blot.

You really need to study your history and go look at the ancient Hebrew world maps. Magog, Gomer, Tagarma are all part of the Ottoman Empire which is what? Modern day Turkey. Russia is NOT Rosh. It also is in Turkey.
