52 years this year as a Watchman. I’ve wondered many times why Gog was considered Russia since Tubal & Togarmah was in Turkey. It’s because the old timers where I learned much in the 70s thought Mesach was Moscow & Rush was Russia. I learned maybe 20-30 yrs ago that Magog was most likely Asia Minor so this finally puts a PLACE where it’s located. But there are many of us end timers who believe the Beast is Turkey for various reasons. Most importantly in last 2 yrs God revealed to me, thru scripture, (meaning tho those scriptures read many many times my eyes were not open to that exactly prob bc was looking for answers abt something else) that the 8th King (the Final AC) is actually the King of the Bottomless Pit - go review ALL passages abt Bottomless Pit & you’ll see it, as well as if you know the wordings/descriptions of the AC/Beast = man of sin son of perdition, different, exceedingly dreadful etc.
We also know thru Micah 5 & I think Isaiah somewhere (or another one of the prophets) that the Beast is Assyrian. Some say he might be European & Assyrian blood. But European could just be allied as in NATO, or part of the Kingdom (area) of Rome who overthrew the last Temple.

And another issue is the Rapture ‘theory’. ALL verses used for that have either The Day of the Lord or the Son of Man Coming - these are 2nd Coming verses not rapture & if read in context the ppl ASKING Jesus or even Paul are ASKING about the END OF THE AGE or HIS KINGDOM. As well as if research The Day of the Lord in OldT it’s ALWAYS starting as a TERRIBLE Day. The DAY of the Lord starts terrible/dark etc bc it’s the WRATH = the Bowls = The 2nd Coming to exact vengeance. It’s during the Battle of Armageddon bc Jesus COMES to STOP that war before it annihilates Israel & Mankind. No one knows the Day or Hour.
All scripture written here is King James & can be looked up that way.

According to Ezekiel, the invading armies come to the land of Israel from “the uttermost part of the north” or as we would put it from the far north. In the Authorized Version the expression is translated merely “from the north, ” but in the more literal translation of the Hebrew found in the American Standard Version it is rendered, “the uttermost parts of the north, ” i.e., the extreme north. The important point is that it designates not merely the direction from which the army attacks Israel, but specifies the geographic origination of the army from a territory located in the far north. The house of Togarmah, one of the nations that is associated with Russia in this invasion, also comes from “the uttermost parts of the north” (Ezekiel 38:6).

If Gog is the Antichrist (Mahdi), then Magog is Turkey. However, Gog is not the Antichrist according to the Scriptures, because he is buried in a grave in Israel:

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.”
- Ezekiel 39:11

The Antichrist will not be buried in a grave, but will (falsely) resurrect according to the lying power of Satan and will of God. Remember, Jesus Christ the Lord will throw both the Antichrist and False Prophet into the Lake of Fire ALIVE:

“And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”
- Revelation 13:3

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
- Revelation 19:20

Also, bear in mind that the purpose and motivation of Gog’s invasion of Israel is different than the Antichrist’s—not to genocide the Jews, but rather, for profitable and resourceful gains:

“Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?”
- Ezekiel 38:13

Lastly, we have to take into context the names of the territories explained in the Bible during the time of Ezekiel, the prophet. Magog was located in modern-day southern Russia (Greater Caucasus region), and Gomer was in today’s land of Turkey. Here is a link to a map of Ezekiel’s time:
