This song is at times too good. I had a coworker who loves Zimmer scores and he used to use them to spice up presentations. I physically stopped him from using Roll Tide. "Jesus, Doug. It's a budget report, we're not attacking Russia."

This "Roll Tide" music from Crimson Tide always give me chills listening to it and it made me remember how great Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman were in that movie.

This is arguably the greatest single piece Hans ever wrote. It has everything: strings, brass, choir, percussion, synths...even a trumpet solo to start things off. Multiple catchy melodies. And POWER.

The section that starts at 2:04 popped into my head about a month ago - the best section of any action score from that era IMHO, and I couldn't for the life of me remember which movie it was from....then I remembered it was used in the Hoodlum trailer, then Shazam, and now I'm here. The irony is that I actually scanned through this song looking for that section when I was on my quest a month back, missed it, and my take away was that Navy Hymn rendition at the end is probably one of the more powerful compositions and recordings of that song anywhere. Anyways, Hans Zimmer is the GOAT
