What do you think about the new Great Weapon Master? Will you use the new version or the old one in your games?

There is a mistake in the talent, first, the prerequisite to use heavy ranged weapons is 13 dexterity, but only strength is required.
Second, because if I use a bow, I can only have +1 strength as a bonus, it would be of no use to me.

I mean, I think this is great in some ways. The ASI bump is always awesome and makes feats more tempting (in my humble opinion), and you are more steadily chipping away at enemies. So a Hunter Ranger with this feat with Colossus Slayer is chipping away 1d8 damage + proficiency bonus (not to mention if they are marked, an extra 1d6). That adds up pretty quick.

🌍🌬🔥 On the other hand I also think 5e 2024 is adding a lot of small buff options to make it appealing to switch over from 2024...weapon mastery, bonus action potions, etc.

The only thing I don't like is that "when you hit...as part of the attack action on your turn", so it looks like it doesn't work on bonus action attacks or reaction attacks (correct me if I'm wrong).

⚡️🔥🌊 It seems like 2024 5e Is mostly moving towards more balance (?4e)...nerfing some op options like GWM, paladin smites, some op subclasses, all subclasses at 3rd kevel, etc.

Question/Help

What does „as Part Of the Attack Action“ mean?
So as a Level 5 Charakter:
Do I get the proficency with all two attacks or just once? Thank you

god balance but also a nerf especially for barbs! by advantage you could neutralize the penalty while now fighters also can use but then barbs lost this exclusivity. :S
