You know I was thinking of this the other day. I've never seen anyone carry a fire extinguisher. I was looking into the element fire extinguisher. It's pricey at $80. But it's small and lightweight. You never know your tent could catch fire. Ever seen the movie Wildhogs? They could have used a fire extinguisher lol . Thanks for sharing. This just saved me some money.

Seems like a good idea, Kenny. However, recent experience has shown me that a depleted fire extinguisher is almost impossible to legally dispose of. Here in Maryland the fire departments won't take them, the county dump will only take them if it is "hazardous waste" day (infrequently) and you are forbidden to put them in regular curbside pickup containers. It may be easy in other states but that is what I encountered.

Check a company called blaze defense they sell a much smaller version of a fire extinguisher about the size of a can of pepper spray. I carry one on duty on my plate carrier.

one thing I carry is road flares, if you need a fire in a hurry nothing beats them

I don’t believe I’ve seen or heard anyone carrying one in their bag just in their vehicle.
