I have used Q4OS before. If a person wants to use a Debian build for KDE, I would recommend it. This one and MX's KDE build is the way to go.

Another day, another distro.
Neither one of them follow any set of rules or standards of behavior.
Windows on the other hand behaves the same and thats why its easier then any OS.
You always know where everything is. With linux, every distro you just guess.

No, I would not use this OS. I prefer to use MX.

You didnt mention the distribution name which is weird.

I could not find anything wrong with this distro in the week or so that I used it. I didn't exactly put it through its paces or install a lot but it seemed quite stable. I got to finally settle down lol. Are you still thinking about the switch to Blue Star? Appreciate another great vid brother

I am curious why, for search purposes, you chose to omit Q4OS KDE from somewhere in the video title?

My daily distro for years had been MX XFCE. After MX 21 was released, I noted that in Gnome Boxes VM, MX 21 KDE memory use at idle after a fresh install plus updated software and then reboot was 772 MB compared to 460 MB for Q4OS 4.6 KDE. So, instead of trying MX 21 KDE (I did not like MX KDE 19.4), I tried MX 21 Fluxbox. My daily distro now alternates between Q4OS 4.6/4.7 KDE and MX 21 Fluxbox**.

BTW, something must have changed between Q4OS versions 4.6 and 4.7 because both KDE Discover and Muon were part of Q4OS 4.6 KDE.

** after installation, MX Fluxbox did require more setup to add an MX-style conky display, move the dock to the right side and get it working the way that I wanted. Once done, however, MX 21 Fluxbox was a bit snappier than MX 21 XFCE while maintaining most of the MX goodness. I gave up trying to set up a fully functioning XFdashboard in MX Fluxbox similar to the built-in dashboard widget available in Q4OS KDE.
