#1 was based off a gravity knife. It is basically a switchblade knife but without a spring mechanism and relies on mostly gravity to open (you know, holding the knife upside down, then opening the lock and locking it again once the blade's out).

And as much as I would love the case, it basically is quite too big to fit in my pocket.
