Calvinism has the car being washed before going THROUGH the car wash.
Grace is being saved THROUGH faith in what Christ obtained for us, rather than THROUGH the unobtainable works of the law. We will continue to fall short of God's glory, that's why we need to HEAR that we need to humbly SUBMIT to the righteous works of our Savior! :)

I agree with you Dr. Flowers that we are not born in a state of “actual hatred” towards God, but we are born with a depraved nature, without access to the Garden, without the indwelling Holy Spirit and under the penal consequences of Adams sin. Our inner faculties are in a state of total disorder from their original creation. In varying degrees individuals grow in their hatred towards God while some come to a personal relationship with Christ before reaching a point of actually hating God. All men are born in a state where they are “inclined towards the evil and that continuously.”

I would personally love nothing more than to have a conversation with you on the doctrine of Prevenient Grace from a Wesleyan perspective! I feel there is much confusion over the use of terminology like “moral inability” in how it is thought in the Wesleyan school of thought.

Was Adam created *partially alive* when he chose to reject God? If Adam was spiritually alive & then rejected God, then so can any other sinner who's received God's *Prevenient Grace*

WE are inabled to come to God by ourselves and be Saved, But thats Why Jesus came to earth so that All men Might be saved.Jesus underscores this when HE says to the Pharsees if you do not believe i am HE, you shall die in your sins, So i say these things to you that YOU might be Saved!! There it is, all have the posibilty to be saved by Repenting which God even Commands ALL men.We are Not Totatly Inabled .Calvanists even say all men HATE God, i rarely if ever heard anyone including atheists an i have debated online for many years that say i hate God.Many deny God but hate is just not there.Dr Flowers is exactly correct.

If you concede total inability, then the other four points of Calvinism are necessary for anyone to get to heaven barring universalism.

This is what Leighton has brought up many times and no Calvinist has demonstrated where in scripture it says Man lost the ability to respond to God as a result of the fall of Adam.

To say that man is so totally depraved, that God has to reach around the cross of His son to regenerate that sinners heart first, is to invalidate every aspect of the cross. If the Almighty was to reach in and touch a sinners heart, without a mediator, that sinners heart would be a pile of ashes! The narrow road is straight through the cross, not around it!

IF we just look at the Bible from cover to cover, i do Not see where it says that Man cannot respond to GOD.all we read is Choose, Choose, turn to ME.Jesus pleading with many including pharasees to Come to Him.God tells Solomon do good and i will grace you, do evil an you will be punished.On an On scripture after scripture we see Prophets guiding men an telling them to Trust God.Moses wrote about Jesus who was to come.the Gospel was Given so that ALL men could come.God says CHOOSE LIFE.the Spirit says come .come an drink freely of the Water of Life.
