OMG the rate calculators online are a JOKE 😂 really appreciate the note about how important your niche is in calculating rates. If you have access to a highly specific audience, you best believe that it is valuable!!

I just started really making videos about 7 months ago. 4 months in a brand reached out to me and offered me 1300€ for a sponsored 60-90 seconds in a video. I could not believe it. Everything I had read up until that point in time was like 10€ per 1k or something? So I should have been charging like 50€ 🤣🤣 but it was so awesome to have that starting point because when a brand reached out to me a few weeks later and asked for my
pricing I knew I could at LEAST ask for the 1300€ the other company had offered me. And guess what, the second company agreed to an even higher rate!! It was awesome.

Also just recently a company reached out to me and offered me a very low price, which I thought might be justified because my views haven’t been that great recently (in comparison to views in the past). But then after some thought I was like no if I am going to do this, regardless of views they will get, the effort is going to be the same, I’ve updated camera equipment, this video will LIVE on my channel - so I emailed them back and said it needs to be at least double and - surprise surprise - they doubled their original offer. I still can’t believe it. Imagine if I had never asked!!! So now I will always ask.

This video came right on time! I didn't use the calculators, but I was afraid of charging more because my audience here is still not that big (although I have a bigger audience on Instagram). I always thought the same way as you did regarding the number of followers. But unfortunately, it does matter to a lot of people (and also brands), so that's why we sometimes get crazy over these numbers. Thanks so much for creating this video, btw. That is what it is all about. Your content is cool. I like what you got going on. So I have you bookmarked on my pc. You are actually part of a list I made up of content creators I like. I got a list saved in my email of about 150 people. I try and go through that list once every other month and check out what's new with those people. And engage and etc. People like you make the list for two reasons. 1) I think they are cool. 2) They show me support. I am and I continue to be a proud subj7scriber to your channel.
