The Legend of Zelda's Tears of The Kingdom is out in 2 days so it's time to jump back in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity in 2023 to see if the performance has been fixed.

I literally have never noticed any lag because of how fun the combat is and how cool the character moves and designs are and it’s so fun to play in a world where the champions are alive and you can use there divine beasts I couldn’t hate on this game if I tried

Oh boy I'm so happy that I never see the framerate drops. 😅 Everytime someone says there was a framerate drope again I'm just like "What? Where? I didn't see anything." Same when people complain about the bad graphic on the Switch and I'm just so confused all the time because I just don't see anything of this.
Anyway I really loved this game and even playes it to 100% what I ususally never do. I usually just play through the story and some side missions a long the line and that's it... I think this was even the first game I played to 100%. After that I also got the DLC.

No performance issues on my OLED that I've noticed. This game is super fun once you get a few hours into it

Normally framerate doesn't bother me too much because I've spent so many years playing Ocarina of Time on the N64 that I've gotten used to framerates as low as 15-20fps. This was one of the rare few times where the performance just really kills it for me, not enough to sway me off the game but it makes me wish that Nintendo would stop making hardware a decade behind everything else. Still, the biggest thing that kills AOC for me is that OG Hyrule Warriors just has more to offer. Sure, the size of OG means that not everything is created equally, but I can live with it since players always find a good strategy to get through the annoying bits. I'm still glad I purchased AOC, but out of the Nintendo themed musou games I think I'll take OG Hyrule Warriors or even Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Solid 7/10 for me.

Oh yeah and solid video btw, shame that your other video about this game got quite a bit of negative reception just because you were bothered by the poor performance. I hope that if Nintendo really wants to keep the switch alive then they come out with an upgraded version that lets AOC really shine.

I personally enjoy this game and the characters I do enjoy playing as are Mipha, Link, Impa and Moz Koshia. Although I do the performance could’ve been better in the game.

This and Persona 5 Strikers were my first musou games. They both feel amazing and true to their source material. I'm looking forward to playing more musou games in the future

This is one of those games that makes me really wish we had an upgraded switch already. Tears of the kingdom isn’t great but not nearly as bad. Really itching for an upgrade that’s backwards compatible at this point, since there’s more than a few switch games that would be a ton more enjoyable with performance enhancements.

Yeah looking back the game visuals are looking rough but to be expected, many characters on screens has to be taxing

This game was one of the games I've played to hold me over to TOTK. The more I played it, the more I enjoyed the game. Easily a 7.5 out of 10. Yeah I know performance is bad, but I was enjoying it so much so I didn't notice all that much. I've never cared about frame rate that much

On one hand, the game runs like molasses on some maps (mostly the first level) because it seems like they just took the BOTW assets and engine and turned the enemy count up to eleven (and BOTW already had issues). On the other hand, it lets you explore all the BOTW combat without durability limits so you can go ham with the same systems as BOTW such as flurry rush and guardian parrying.

You keep complaining about the performance but it looks fine in the Gameplay you showed. Like, maybe I just don't notice it but the performance looks perfectly fine to me

Thanks for the upload. I guess I'll play this emulated on PC for better perforamcne. On this video the frame rate already looks bad, but other videos show it can get worse. Koei tecmo is known for this I guess, always bad performance on their musou games.

Might be that im a child of the xbox 360, or that i gamed on a core 2 duo till 2018, but the performance stutters didn't seem unbearable in this game on my switch lite.

Somebody overclocked Switch and said that the console itself is VERY underpowered - mostly becuse of battery consumption (which is very good, if I might add) and skin temperature (which I barely register). You know what they say "The candle which burn twice the bright, lasts half the time" - or something like that.
Yeah, the performance is quite bad compared to both Zeldas...but I wouldn´t call it disastrous. Heh, and I remember a looot of stuttering and lagging with older PC and games! For example Doom 3, which was slide show on my PC at the time, but I was gratefull I could even play and finish it.

I will definitely get this game after I finish ToTK.
