Please be careful if you workout at home, especially when you practice with little space. Make always sure, that you are not doing exercises too close to the wall and if an exercise is new to you always start slow, so that there is no risk for injury.

On court we are not always choosing the right foot position for a good start to reach the next shuttle. In order to correct the position and have an efficient start you need to be able to reosition your feet and turn your hip in a very short time. Exercises like the ones I show in the video are great of increasing the quickness for those situations. I would also suggest to implement them into your on court training, ideally after the warm in the beginning of your session, when you are still able to give 100% tempo.

Nice video! I just had a sprained ankle, not too seriously thankfully, playing against much stronger opponents. Probably this type of exercise is the most important to prevent sprained ankles. I need to start doing those as the more intense the game you end up running around the court much faster and it is quite important to be very stable.

Hi Tobias... just completed the Fast Footwork 15 mins. I'm on my way back into the game after a 10 year lay-off. Your exercises are fantastic for getting the feet and muscles used to on-court situations. It's strange that my brain knows what level I used to play at (aged 20-30s) but now my body won't respond accordingly (now in my 50s). All good though... I'm just taking it very slowly step by step.
