2023 Volvo C40 Recharge Twin Pure Electric Review | A stylish 300kW Coupe-SUV – what’s not to like?

The Volvo C40 Recharge is a key player in the Swedish brand’s plan to go all-electric in Australia by 2026.

Essentially a ‘coupe’ version of the popular XC40 Pure Electric, in Twin guise it uses the same 300kW/660Nm dual-motor drivetrain, albeit with a slight price premium.

It has plenty of appeal, with its uniquely Nordic style inside and out and smooth and powerful powertrain, but there are compromises in both its sleeker profile and ICE-based platform.

Well just test drove this Volvo and it had more head turns than most sports car I drove. It’s probably because it’s unusual futuristic look.

So test figures 24kwh per 100km = 300kms range that's dead flat so real world range 250km

$25, 000 more than a xc40

Wish it's a Volvo C30 affordable 2 door sport coupe instead of C40 pricey electric 4wd coupe SUV with outrageously less headroom, weak to tow a trailer, mediocre ground clearance rolls onto ford puddle and sandy will soak and soil the electric motors, disadvantaged 250km range and no spare tire just a tire repair kit when stranded in the desert with low battery is a smack on a fainted horse ended up like ancient electric cars from 1910s. You can't afford this, so get on a bus (also made by Volvo buses) 🚌or a trolleybus 🚎with power cables for trams it's unlimited power, cheap and environmentally friendly than disadvantageous battery electric buses.
