Cheap Electronic Shifting Is Here! | NEW Sram Apex AXS

Sram has just released the update to its fourth tier groupset, Apex AXS. For the first time ever, electronic shifting has made its way down to a price point which has never been seen before by a big, established brand. The new Apex components from Sram are made up of more than just electronic ones, but instead the Apex family includes mechanical ones too, alongside XPLR and Eagle versions. This has resulted in drop bar, flat bar and incredibly wide gearing possibilities. Sam Gupta has a first look at what is being offered and explains who the groupset might be for.

Sam also has a look at the brand new Zwift PLAY. Zwift has just launched a brand-new set of controllers that can be mounted to your bike's handlebars. The controllers allow you to steer, brake and completely control the in-game action.

Crazy price for a FOURTH tier groupset. Pluck a number out of thin air? However I'm guessing it'll actually be supplied to bike brands much much cheaper and we'll see it on £2500 bikes.
Also... 12 speed again. Who needs that?

You can get SRAM red 2 x axs rim brake group set and use the really excellent semi hydro juin tech disc brakes - for around £800. I use it on my gravel bike, brakes just as good as full hydros (I think).

Disappointed not 2x and $1000+ for a 1x drivertrain. What is the cost for each part? As I would only need the shifters/brakes and rd with cassette.
