I dont see anything other than drive health which is healthy, Nothing about remaining life, But i've had mine for years and seem good, I know i need to replace em with 2 1tb ssds, Since i have 3 for games, And an extra nvme never hurts even if its in the slot with half the speed, Another great video brian ! 😇

I always say that you'll never wear out your SSD since at some point your PC will be changed to something else

With SSD drives i use the tools that the provider has made. With that you can do other things to trim the drive to the best as you want it.

This seems to be for Windows 11 only - In the video and the description you said it's the same for Windows 10 but after Settings --> Storage there's no option for Disks & Volumes. I've got Windows 10 Pro (22H2). Thanks.

I just installed Windows 11 24H2 and the "Healthy" status does not show up with the drive entry in "Disk and Volumes". Additionally there is no "Drive Health" section under the drives "Properties" page. The drive installed is "NVMe BC501 NVMe SK hy"
Either my drive does not support the health api or this was removed from 24H2.

My ssd drivers just shows online and nothing else. The properties do not show drive health

So you're saying that's it, other than this basic information there's no Diagnostics required on an SSD?

Although a paid software., one step further is .. Spinrite 6.1 is now available.. for those with dying drives.. SSD diagnostics and other info

I don't think that this is about people not knowing things like performance monitor exist. It is just that people do not understand them (rightfully) due to the old and horrific ui, especially when comparing to today's 3rd party app UIs.

The only important thing to do is to do is regular, thorough, backups. SMART in particular has never successfully predicted a drive failure for me, and I have many drives fail over the years, always suddenly and without any warnings.

SMART, in my opinion, is for entertainment purposes only, and relying on it is DUMB.
