Mental health needs with the return to campus

Presented by Dr. Randy Kamphaus who introduces the new BASC-3 BESS College self-report form now available for digital use. College and University leaders are increasingly concerned about the mental health needs of their students as they return to campus and encounter a “new normal”. Students also are aware of their increasing mental health needs and looking to their colleges and universities to provide support. The BESS College Form provides a quick, efficient, valid, and reliable way for counseling centers and other student health services to screen large numbers of students while guaranteeing security and privacy. Campus-wide mental health surveillance with the BESS provides information for meeting the individual mental health needs of students and for planning mental health prevention and promotion activities for the entire campus.
