I love how the woman's voice changes when she hears it's a child. And the constant reassuring. That's someone with great people skills.

Her being younger was probably what saved her mother’s life. The girl didn’t panic because she didn’t understand how bad it was.

She's just 3 years old and she's saved 2 lives, her mum and her baby bro. She's an amazing 1

The mum deserves a big kudos too, she taught her daughter exactly what to do in this situation. We all need to remember that.

When 90% of the comments are just Americans not getting that life outside of America exists

999 operators are so much better than American 911 operators when talking to children omg its heartbreaking listening to children calling 911 they are going through something scary and operators just ask the questions they need to while not offering any comfort to the child. i wish 911 operators were more like this 999 operator.

Bruh to all the Americans freaking out because other countries have different emergency call numbers, *get a grip*

I'm American too, but after about two seconds I realized that *logically* other countries would have different numbers for emergency services. It would be different if everyone in the vid had strong American accents and were clearly American, but it's obvious that they are British. Like I seriously don't get how stupid some people must be.

Britain was the first country in the world to introduce the standard short emergency number 999 in 1937 after a fatal fire with multiple deaths. A phone call to the fire brigade couldn't be quickly put through the phone exchange because of the busy time of day. 999 was chosen because on the old mechanical exchanges 9 was the last number on each rotor and thus bypassed all other numbers. USA, playing catch up, took another 31years to introduce 911 in 1968.

It's stressing me out that I can't find any 999/911 comments that people are mad about.
