I'm quite a new white belt. I watch BJJ videos on youtube quite obsessively and this is by far the best white belt advice I've come across. I learn a lot from your rolling videos as well. Keep up the good job!

Very new to bjj couple weeks in. Bit old to the game at 63 but I’m having fun.
As an man after 43 years of working a bit stiff for bjj but able to move pretty well.
Learning how the game is played and how to do it safely. Would like to roll as long as it takes to be a good training partner. Guys have been helping.

Wonderful advice. Thank you. At 48, I’m definitely early to class and warming up. I’m going into this journey with patience yet an eagerness to learn. This channel is very helpful.

Awesome content! Newly promoted 45 yr old blue belt here - I learned that sometimes you have to face your fear and actually pick someone aggressive. This experience will get you ready for different types of sparring partners. I don’t do it too often, but next time you are traveling/visiting a gym, you don’t get blindsided and hence avoid getting injured because your body is familiar with this type of stress. Everyone stay healthy!

Loved this. I’ve watched almost all of your rolls and you’re one of my favourite channels. Glad to see you doing some sitdown content too and growing your channel in new ways. Good luck with it and thanks again!

Good stuff, my friend. Really love what you're putting out. As a late 40's blue belt, I would love to see your advice similar to this video, but for older blue belts.

Really great advice, thank you for sharing. As you know i am over 50, just started BJJ a few months ago coming from a Wing Chun background, so i found this video very useful, thank you.🙏

Good common sense here. I think we, as over 50's, should already know this stuff automatically but it's a good reminder.

Love your videos man. I started Jiu Jitsu at 28 years old after recovering from a multitude of shoulder surgeries from years of playing Rugby. You videos have been fantastic in showing me how to roll correctly with measured pace and intensity. Would love to see more videos of you rolling particularly in Gi with larger opponents. Have a great day!

Duly noted! Thank you very much!
I really enjoy the philosophy, the way you explain and the pace of your video.
If one day you wanted to explain the basics move, escape and submission, that would be perfect for me but that may not be what you have in mind for your channel. Anyway, a Big thank you from France for all your videos!

I appreciate you sir. I enjoy the rolls and the intelligent commentary. I want someone like you at my gym. Maybe I'll be that guy eventually.

Thanks so much for this! I"m 50 yo white belt two years into the journey and these were absolutely fantastic. Much appreciated! I wonder if you and Rick Ellis could ever do a collaboration?

This is great advice for everyone, not just white belts. I'm still working on all of this, especially the avoidance...

Thanks for sharing this. I think the - having a mentor - commandment is huge for LIFE and BJJ.

Great points, I'm working of the breathing control, 53, 5'6", having survived a heart attack several years ago I tend to go into panic mode when getting smashed
