7 months ago I swallowed 10mg of Prozac for three days. Ever since then my libido and arousal have been just 10-20% of what they once were and my clitoris shrunk. Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD) is never reported on any of your videos which is concerning given that you prescribe these regularly.

I get that this channel targets laymen, but if we’re going to use the word “serotonin, ” we may as well use the word “dopamine.” SSRIs affect sex drive primarily because they interfere with dopamine signaling. There’s also evidence that they decrease testosterone levels. These phenomena also explain some of the other side effects, such as listlessness and fatigue.

I heard about this before I started with antidepressants 5 years ago but luckily I have never experienced any sexual problems.
Now I take like 10 different medications in high dozes for my mental disorders but I still have a high or a normal sexdrive. I don't know why, but I'm aware I'm one of the lucky ones because I've heard from friends and many other people that they don't feel like having sex at all after they started with antidepressants.

I guess I’m just unlucky. Even on the lowest possible doses (like half of a therapeutic dose) of an SSRI I feel this side effect seemingly immediately from day 1. I’ve never had an SSRI where this was not the case, no matter how many times I heard “this one has the least sexual side effects”. It’s like the moment I take an SSRI, they head downstairs and shut the lights off, instead of upstairs to turn them on…

As a male, I can say SSRI's completely nuked my sex drive, however SNRI's are the opposite, which may be a positive or negative for you.

They gave me PSSD. Please report PSSD to the FDA so something can be done about this!!! In the EU doctors have to tell patients about this!!!
