Think you missed the point of the 7prc, it’s designed to not eat through barrels like the 28 nosler, with less recoil on follow up shots, still letting you shoot a heavier bullet than the 7mm mag. It should be compared more to the 28 nosler than the 7 mag

My Remington Long Range shoots .33 5 round groups. My first 7mm. It made me a believer.

Another thing everybody os missing out is the tolerances of the action and the bullets. Very tight saami specs. From what im seeing is giving the superior accuracy right out of the box with no mods to the rifle or ammo.

Just bought a 6.5 PRC a few years after it came out. I will wait a few years to see if the 7mm PRC becomes more widely adopted. If my preferred gun makers like Bergara and Tikka start to offer rifles chambered for 7 mm PRC in their less expensive lineup then I will know the 7 mm PRC is here to stay. At that point I may decide to get one.

This is not a good description of the cartridge it’s self, the 7mm prc shoots a 180 gr 3000 fps which you would have to customize a 7 mag in a lot of different ways to achieve without pressure issues and burning barrels out quicker, the 7 prc is a 7 mag with all the customization you would need to have equal performance the 7 prc comes like that from the factory

I'm a 7 mag fan all day, Last week I bought a 7 prc from buds guns $349 Mossberg Patriot nice cerakote finish and m40 camo stock topped off with a vortex 3-9*50 scope it came bore sighted and they did a great job out the box with 180 gr Barnes ttsx at 100 yards it was 3" high and 1" left I centered it and was dead nuts at 500 yesterday evening we killed a 245 lb boar in a clear cut at 783 yards one shot recoil is like a 243 it's definitely not a dusk or Dawn rifle the muzzle flash is tremendous shoots about a 2' flame out but it's definitely better than the old mag and any commercial round out now 06-/270/

Hitting steel alone I don't see the point. The 6mm creedmoor is great for that. But I want a cannon to flatten big stags out at 600 yards. I'll be getting one if the cartridge takes off here.

Im hooked on my prc I was a diehard 7 mag guy but this 7 prc is outstanding, I have videos of hogs being headshot at 800 yards it has less recoil and flatter trajectory

I bought a 7mm PRC Christensen Arms Long Range Mesa. Seeing high pressure signs in factory ammo, and not grouping the best. Hoping reloads prove better

Can you explain how it's "designed for accuracy" and maybe when that technology was discovered so we can separate out cartridges that were not designed for accuracy

7 PRC sounds very impressive. I'll be watching for track record on ammo availability before buying.

What would be better for hunting out to 400 yards between the 7MM PRC and the 300 Win Mag?

Good breakdown!

I'll stick with the older 7s and my favorites... the 6.5s and the 30 calibers

Good summary! I will most likely buy 7 PRC. But it depends on the pricing and availability.

7RM all day long, now a 300 win mag might be on a list to buy, but I never seen the need. I wish the 6mm Remington would make a comeback. I’d buy one of those 😂 my wife loves her 6mm rem and as do I.

I used the 7.mm prc and it was the best gun I’ve ever shot and I’ve shot hundreds of guns all the 7 mm and all the 6.5 all the 300s the best kind of shot shot a line with a 300 blackout when I was six believe me get it.

I normally shoot 308. Is it a good step up from 308?
