Securing the Router - Part 1, CCNA Security

A multipart tutorial on securing a Cisco router from the CLI. This tutorial series will start from the initial configuration of a cisco router and cover authentication, authorization and accounting, as well as encryption.

In this tutorial I configure an IP address on the fast ethernet interface and local access by configuring a password on console interface.

15 min for requiring a password for the console line is way too much. Since CCNA is a prerequisite, all candidates should already know how to use packet tracer and how to set a password to console/vty lines.

Just in case you haven't found out yet. ICND1 will go off the 100-101 test and 100-102 for ICND 2. You have until the end of this month I think to still take the 640's.
