My parents just upgraded their Bell phone service from a copper connection to fibre, but get their ADSL internet through Primus. They installed a home hub 3000, eliminating the need for the modem supplied by Primus. The wifi works great, but they're getting passed back and forth regarding their wired connection. How should the wired setup connect from modem/router combo to switch to desktop? WAN to LAN to Ethernet? LAN to LAN to Ethernet? Bell says Primus will walk them through it, and Primus is clueless on anything to do with the Home Hub 3000.

You forgot about the SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) port AT&T's newer fiber modems specifically like the BGW320-500 all of which has the ONT module built into it.

I connected my router wan port to my modem/router lan port after turning off the wifi from my modem/router and i basically removed the wan to wan connection my router had with my modem/router and switch it to wan - lan because i need the wan 10gb port from my modem/router to connect my pc adapter 10gb card. Currently i see no issues but i was wondering if a router that is normallly connect wan to wan port to a modem/router is less efficient or strong when connectimg the router wan port to the modem/router lan port.

my router has a WAN port but it also has multiple LAN ports should i use the WAN port to connect to my PC instead of LAN? or is that not recommended? i just want the fastest possible wired connection. i have 1 Gig Verizon Fios fiber internet

I saw your binary video and it was really helpful, would it be possible to make an octal one and a hexadecimal one

The red port can be also a WAN, which is an input port which comes from the only port of the ONT. So, WAN is an input, won't be able to get internet through that.

I got power outages everytime I plug in the lan cable.
Idk whether the cable, router or mobo is the problem.

Fyi.
I use CAT5e lan cable
Strix Z270H Gaming with red lan port
And just a normal 4g router

Hopefully you’ll answer my question here. I have a coax router from my provider and I pay for 1gig internet but I don’t get near what I’m paying for so I bought some screenbean coax to Ethernet converters to at least get what I pay for it not get lucky like the ones in the videos I’ve watch and double my speeds and I was wondering if I buy a good non-coax Ethernet router will it work? I just don’t want a splitter coming off my main coax to the router and to the screenbean module and then another splitter somewhere else to run the other converter to my gaming PC. To many splitters and I feel it’ll choke down the connections and speed. Theoretically in my mind since I’m converting my coax to Ethernet via a converter then I SHOULD be able to get rid of the old junky coax router that was provided in my install and replace it with a newer, nicer and faster Ethernet router… correct? The main reason I don’t want a bunch of splitters all over the place going here there and yonder is because I’m also setting up a designated gaming router strictly for my PC and I’d much rather use one “out” of just 1 splitter to my gaming area and hook it up to the 2nd converter my kit came with and have a Ethernet connection directly from the coax coming through the wall and then just a single Ethernet cable from my gaming router to my PC. Sorry for the long post I just wanted to be thorough
