I love Ozeki she writes such weird, but beautiful books. I had to read her second novel All Over Creation, still my favorite btw, for a class. I managed to get to My Year of Meats and A Tale for the Time Being quickly after that. I love all of them.

I definitely want to read this one! Fast Food Nation is really good too. If you like the topic I would also read Michael Pollin's Ominvore's Dilemma.

I just started being a pescatarian too (but mostly no meat) for the same reasons! Well also my boyfriend saw a video of a cow crying and it was the last straw for him. Def gonna pick this up, I loved Tale for the Time Being and that connection between characters, great book talk! Have you read The Vegetarian? I read that during the last week of my meat eating and it was definitely a strange goodbye to meat haha.
