The sounds of: R.E.M. (Peter Buck)

Today we try to recreate some of the great tones from R.E.M.'s vast discography. Peter Buck's signature style is a driving force of the band's sound and that's what we've tried to capture here.

If you can't here that sounds like Rem, maybe go back and listen. Pretty cool stuff. I mean the tone is not going to be 100% but he is putting all the effects in and everything and sounds pretty accurate to me

Amazing tones! I've also struggled with the tremolo taking drive away from the Kenneth strumming. I am leaning towards splitting the signal right before the tremolo to run the trem effect in parallel, so while I engage the tremolo I am still getting that overdrive strumming. Ever tried that?

What am I missing here? None of these tones are very reminiscent of the original Peter Buck sounds (neither on record or for live version). The distorsion on Kenneth and the main riff on SHP are massively off, but most of the other are weird too. Is this just a demo for a certain brand of pedals?

I think the chords to Orange Crush are a bit wrong (my old band played it, we nailed that sucker!) otherwise great stuff!
