Peter Buck is the reason I started playing guitar circa 1991. Such a down to earth cool dude to boot.

REM are legendary. Saw them in 1995 for the MONSTER tour. Such great memories! Amazing album

I've never actually met him, but used to see him all over Athens back in the mid-late 80's. At my band's shows, in the record shops, bars, et al. I delivered pizzas to his house- he was a good tipper and entirely pleasant . ANyway, he's always felt almost a family member, so integral were REM to my upbringing.

Peter Buck taught me to play (indirectly). Growing up in the 80s listening to all those great early albums as I learned guitar.

I’ve never seen an interview with Peter Buck before and he seems a really nice guy.
REM were the best and he added real attitude with his amazing guitar playing that was integral to their sound.
It’s so funny as a person he sounds and looks so humble.

I think Peter might have been pleased to be asked about the bands and project he’s been working on more recently than having them repeat R.E.M.

Peter Buck is Peter Fifty Million Big Bucks. I doubt his wife will be the least bit annoyed that he bought some expensive guitars. Buck says he hates the music business, but it's been very good to him & his other R.E.M. pals, each also worth tens of millions of bucks.
