I've seen the 1987 model as a table fan before with the switch as a dial on the back. Also, in the table fan model, the blades were a light aqua colour if sunlight were shining through them but if they were against a darker surface they looked more blue-grey. Always liked the little house on the badge in the centre!

Both were made by Kuo Horng, who made many brands including Windmere, St.Regis, Nobilty, Control Air and many more.

I really like the white standup fans that have the X shaped bases. I think they look so mutch better than the fans with the round bases beeing made today. unforchinitly, you can't find many X based fans beeing made today. most of them are round.
