This fan is great. I have had it on everyday for over a year now, mostly all night also. I am so impressed mine is not loud and doesn't get hot much at all. My daughter lives on an island in the caribbean prefers the island breeze and chooses to have no air conditioning, fans burnout quickly there, sometimes within a month or two it's so hot, I will be buying a few of these to send to her for every room. The room I have it in at home is hottest and I can't believe it has lasted with only be shut off when leaving house. I care for my elderly parent so my work is from home. I definitely recommend this fan for durability. The retro look goes pretty much with all decor now and I find the metal easier to keep clean then plastic.

That’s a great fan! I think the metal bladed retro fans are more powerful than the standard plastic fans. Also, it looks like both Amazon and Home Depot are selling a Holmes retro pedestal fan that come with a remote.

I have this fan love it but when I use mine then turn it off then at bedtim turn it back on the blades don’t move but can hear the motor I usually have to play around with it for it to work do you maybe know why that’s happening ?

So, I found this fan that someone was throwing away and I'm missing a screw and a nut. I believe its what holds the metal cage. Could you confirm this? Do you happen to know the size of these? :)

I just bought one. And my question is what about that fuse inside of the plugbase thing? When will I know I need to change it? And so I can just plug it in and not worry about it, but until when? The instructions said change in risk of a fire. So what does that mean? Is it a certain time it becomes more of a risk or what?

Hi! I just bought this fan a few days ago and I've been running it at night. I noticed that when I turn it off the motor heats up and has a plastic smell coming from the back. Does this happen with yours? Thanks!!

Hello I really hope you can help me I just bought this from Walmart and can’t secure the blades to the metal prod. I’m not sure if I’m missing something or if I was sent an item either the hole too big or the screw too small. I didn’t have much money left but really needed a fan so any help is greatly appreciated
