Thanks for this excellent demonstration Drew! I was just using the tempo track when you posted this. One cool trick I like to use the tempo track for is slowing a piece of music down when writing drum patterns. It gives me more time to think while building muscle memory. Then I bump it back up to the original tempo and record.

Wow. Two decade long Logic user here and this is where I come back for this time correct/stretch stuff. I'm sure Logic has something similar but this is really intuitive, quick and the workflow is easy, and ultimately, it sounds great too (so far!). Great tutorial on this and it is exactly what I need for a long term project I'm doing with likely a lot of time correction/grid work.

Awesome video! This is also possible with a stereo track. I did apply that technic on a track I wanted to use as a reference but was not really cut to the click. The drums were not the loudest part but the bass line was pretty audible and I was able to spot the transients and align the bars. It took not so much time and it went smoothly with the keyboard shortcuts. In the end, I was able to align and quantize the all song and finally to create the structure I wanted. I even slightly changed the constant tempo to be a little bit faster. LUNA is great and it's getting better and better! Thanks Drew and UA! Cheers.

Yes!! Drew this did the trick for me in trying to combine vocal tracks and instrumental tracks into one project.

This is great. Thank you. Have changed to Luna recently, no regrets.

Hello, I am a Studio One user. Personally, I don't like to quantize to a grid because I prefer the style of the '90s where bands sound tight but have slight BPM changes. In Studio One, they have an integrated function with Melodyne (which calculates the human relative BPM information) and can transfer it to the global BPM editing line to adjust other instruments, for example, to the human BPM, so you don't have to quantize to a static grid but to the human drummer's tempo. The only thing keeping me in StudioOne. Honestly, the EDM editing style doesn't appeal to me at all because I come from a more vintage school. Besides, it would make sense to prioritize this way of working since Luna's advantage over other DAWs is that it simulates an analog environment. Now that it has been released for Windows, I am more than happy that I can make the safe transfer. As a suggestion, it would be great if you added the function that automatically generates the reading of the BPM fluctuation of the tempo of the track or a group, it would save even more time in editing. Greetings from Argentina!

That's great Drew, you have a great way of communicating and your enthusiasm is infectious! I just wish you could say what's coming to LUNA and rough dates. I want to switch to LUNA, but you know the missing pieces we're waiting for.

Great informative video, thank you! Would these processes work on a track with varying tempo changes?

Great vid- it’s a bit of a shame but there hasn’t been any major updates lately, we really need multi outs for virtual instruments!

Hello Drew, sorry, but I think this is not practical or maybe there is a bug in the software. I tried to set the tempo map on an imported mp3 with a little fluctuating tempo exactly in the way that you demonstrated and LUNA always calculated the wrong tempo between the bars. And yes, I set all tracks to time mode before I started. I tried it for more than an hour and finally gave it up. In Logic Pro the smart tempo assist function created the complete tempo map fully automatically during MP3 import within seconds. That's the way it should work, not manually!

Great demo vid Drew! Looking forward to trying this in Luna after our next drum recording session coming up soon! Also, I would love to see a demo vid on a simple workflow of using analog hardware on tracks, bus's and the master bus in Luna. As well as a simple setup/workflow using hardware hybrid with UA plugins. Currently I use the Rupert 535 and WesAudio Prometheus on my master buss along with UA plugins in Pro Tools but would love to integrate it in Luna with a simple workflow and template. Thanks!

Universal audio should give Luna an “AI mixing assistant. “ So if instrument A is running over certain frequencies or whatever on instrument B Luna suggests a side chain or limiter for instance and if the user says “ great idea “ Luna inserts it into the track to actually eliminate hot keys for the user to correct the problem without interruptive commands that ruin the music “writing “ process in all daws . Cars can drive themselves and learn the road daws shouldn’t need handholding anymore either ! If you’ve ever used your voice to sing notes into sequencers “ That” and the Ai assistant would probably crush everything else in the daw world for composition and mixing . ✌️👽

This sure seems like a lot of work! Nice job

So, could I map out the kick and the snare, set them to a tempo, and then have all the other audio(bass, guitar, keys, etc) fall into or sort of warp to the new tempo created by just mapping out the kick and snare?

I’m new to quantize and find this very interesting. I’ve recorded to a click but my drum performance is a bit off, I’m hoping I can achieve overall quantize of the track.

Great video! Question though: is it possible in LUNA to edit the timing of midi and audio together (like with hybrid recorded drums) and have them stay in sync?

I never saw where the song locked to the metronome click that sits next to the counter?
IM trying to have audio tracks that are playing in time together but are not in sync with the metronome, sync to the metronome. Any help?

All my midi and audio records slightly ahead of the beat, is this a known problem with a known fix? Or, Would techniques in this video be the only way to deal with this?
