You are right on the money. I bought a PSVR2 and Gran Turisno looks incredible in it but it's the only game I was interested in playing on it. I just tried a Best Buy Meta Quest 3 demo yesterday 10/5/23 and the passthrough was so clear and the image so crisp. While it was running a video with games for it after showing the actual passthrough mode it was super clear also. For a standalone system with no wires and on a mobile chip it is amazing.

it's true that the fact you can take it with you anywhere makes the quest better . i'm with the quest 2 and hope those lenses make a real difference on the q.3

Quest 3, because I had a quest 2 with lots of games in it and on PC. So I will take a big advantage from that.

I already own a Psvr 2 but now I almost wish I used that money to get a quest 3. As you correctly stated the Psvr 2 has great technology and potential but due to it not getting better support it seems more like a huge waist of money.

Having both, I use Quest more often than PSVR. If I had to choose to give one headset away it would be the PSVR. Prefer the clarity of Q3 lenses, wireless gameplay and option to also use PCVR.

I can literally be doing dishes and watching a movie, or watch something walking my dog in the Quest 3. The pancake lenses alone make it the best headset to me. But being able to seamlessly swap between tasks, being able to play a game while now watching a movie at the same time, or tutorial. There's so many reasons why I pick Quest 3 every time.

I was forced to make this decision just the other day. Quest 3 can go standalone in addition to being a PCVR headset. So yeah, I have a Quest 3 now.

Got my quest 3 today, it’s cool but I still love my psvr2 more. I find it so strange when people say they prefer quest because there’s more games. The games on quest do not look good. Some of them, like beat saber or among us are fine because they’re simple, but for proper feeling AAA games, it’s either PCVR or PSVR all day. It’s like asking what you prefer playing games on, your ps5 or your phone. Phone technically has more and it’s easier and more convenient but they don’t even nearly compare to the console experience.

That said, Sony have been dropping the ball recently with building any hype for their headset, and I hope with Jim Ryan out, that’s gonna change. It’s capable of being so much better but I have high hopes for the future. Quest I feel won’t be a contender until about quest 5, maybe quest 4

Its time that their comes a division in the market. You have pure gaming headsets like the psvr line. And more allround headsets like the quest line and a couple others. It’s kinda difficult to compare them.. it depends on what you want to use them for.. i would say for most people quests is better! Because it’s a more allround device.

I have a PSVR2 and while I do love a lot of the features there's not that many exclusives and for just overall comfort and experience I think i'd trade it for a heartbeat for a quest 3 if just for not having to deal with the tiny sweetspot: it also gives access to pcvr down the line (or immediately if you already have a gaming pc) which has some of the absolute best graphics and tons of amazing mods that are some of the best VR has to offer in this early stage

I kinda regret buying a psvr2. I rarely play it because it’s so bulky, wired, and limited in just playing games.

I really wanted a psvr2 but what put me off was no backwards compatibility so all my games are useless and no pcvr support especially since they're making ps exclusive games for pc as well and the 600$ price I ultimately sold my psvr1 to a buddy of mine for 150 with the vr gun and motion controllers and a few games just so that he can enjoy vr as well so ultimately my psvr games were useless for me at the end and I pre-ordered the quest 3 i can't wait
