Also, no wonder Neuvi was so heartbroken by Focalors death. His power was stolen, he was forced to live as a species beloved by the usurper, archons wielding his power as they please, and suddenly, Focalors not only isn't his enemy, but also the one to grant him this mercy, freely giving back what's his and even sacrificing herself in the process. Truly THE Godess of justice.


And Furina is now my nr 1 of most admirable characters

You were talking about pain, i cried more than 1 day After this quest. It hurts me that much i took a day of from work. I felt so sad for both Furina AND Focalors, for being victims of Celestia. I'm so sad both of them sacrifices themself for Fontaine without a inch of thanks. I'm so sad for this, it was a masterpiece, but i Hope until the last second and pray that Focalors would not die. I was wrong and i'm so so sad..

believe it or not, this archon quest was so, so painful that it actually gives me a severe case of insomnia after i played it. the shock was so great that i couldn't even sleep until 4AM TwT
also, normally i would have continue doing quests on the next day after i'm done with the AQ, that was my original plan. but my shock was still there so i had to actually took a day off from questing & spent my time to farm instead :, )

btw.... is this the 1st time we witnessed an actual major character death happening in Genshin? like- i know we have seen so many deaths already, but those are either from NPCs or characters that were already dead. but Focalors was very much still alive when we saw her from Neuvi's POV... & to know that Genshin's very 1st major character death was that of an Archon character scary tbh :, D

I’ve cried a lot during this quest. Even Navia made me do so in the start of the quest (thanks to Brenna Larsen for her amazing voice acting). Absolutely loved the entirety of this quest and it makes me look forward to the future of Genshin!

Fontaine has one of the greatest stories in gaming ever. Absolute masterpiece from every single aspect.
Furina/Focalors is the best character/archon.

As for the pain. I played Final Fantasy X when it came out, and both Nier games. I also watched Violet Evergarden and Clannad among dozens of other top tier drama anime. And I still cried for 15-20 minutes straight during the whole trial and the following scenes. Plus I shed tears during your own and a few other streams during these scenes.
Talking only about Honkai Impact 3rd is not enough to learn what true pain means.
So yes, this quest will destroy you regardless of your emotional resistances as long as you are a human.

Considering that last conversation amongst Neuvilette and Skirk regarding the Gnosises I guess you could kinda compare them akin to Stellarons from Star Rail. Stellarons are referred to as "Cancer of all Worlds" while Gnoseses are "Objects of misfortune". Also Yae also said that keeping the Gnosis would bring problems for Inazuma, so maybe she also knew something regarding this matter.

knowing what i know now after playing the AQ and SQ and listening to furina's words again, like the trial she's looking forward to seeing the most, it really brings out new meaning

No kidding, Focalors and Neuvillette’s scene had me going through flashbacks from the time I played HI3. Man, they do follow their predecessor

I just realized..Folcalor indured also a lot because she was isoltated in the Oratrice for 500 years without being able to communicate with anyone and when she finally got out it was just so she can sacrifice herself for Furina and Fontaine...

You could give the most amazing speech about not spoiling at the start or mid point of your stream, but someone who joins near the end won't hear it.

I can't wait for Capitano in natlan, he's my favorite by far.And the main reason I'm staying in the game, extremely scary and intriguing to meet the 1st and strongest fatui in the next region. He is just him, call him genshin madara(both has long black hair btw) gigachad of genshin.And Natlan is region of war and dragons.Shit gonna be insane. I'm curious about the Pyro Archon, since we haven't been told anything about her and Pyro Gemstone is also hiding some secret.I think that since Murata is the god of war and probably the strongest archon and Captain 1st and Varka calls him a human challenging the gods, and natlan is a region of war and dragons, it is logical that they sent the strongest to Natlan.I also expect that he will bring an army since he leads the army of the Snezhnaya according to all information and we will see a fight between him and the archon or any other extremely strong being for gnosis

I suspect that childe has commented some sort of grave crime that no one else, not even neuvilette knows about. The way the game words it, it sounds like foreshadowing that we will find out some sort of crucial information for the reason the oratrice gave out a guilty verdict. He probably did something that went against celestia. Also, Celestia won’t sit still now that one of the divine thrones has been destroyed.

as someone that experienced HI3rd, furina's story affected me way harder than anything HI3rd did. The closest thing to hit as hard was Otto's story and even then it's not even close

you know, focalors creating furina then kind of forcing her to suffer in this never-ending play reminded me of that one black mirror episode. the one where they copy their consciousness into an egg, then they kind of dial them through years at a time, driving them insane.

Am i the only one that thought that the Traveler didn´t really care about Furina? Like the only time we engaged with her in this Quest was because we wanted information from her and even when we where in her "Inner World" Traveler was like "nice now i can get the infos i want". Also that "fine" at the end sounded more like "okay do what you want i´m out"
