(this has some spoilers so if you wanna get into it without any context read this after watching c:)

wow. i can't believe the main questline for fontaine is ALREADY over.
genuinely would have appreciated two parts to we could go over all the things that happened a bit more.. evenly? but 6 hours of this is plenty too LMAO

one thing I find very cool is that we didn't really.. do that much? in the end? what really did the work was the people of fontaine coming together, and I find that SO COOL.

i'm a huge fan of everything fontaine really.. there isn't a character i've disliked and they EVEN MADE ME KINDA LIKE CHILDE. IDK WHATS GOING ON.

really cool lore though, I love AND hate that we've been playing genshin impact for 3 years and.. kinda know absolutely nothing. we have ideas but they're all such loose ends they really don't mean anything yet - this space arc makes me believe genshin impact 2 OR some kinda multiverse thing will happen though, as the characters look like they're not even FROM genshin. exciting because variety but also.. ughhhhh multiverses

also the fact the "idea" of the archon being dead, it was literal of course but also figurative, right? all the power back in the hands of the elemental dragon - WHO NOW BELIEVES IN HUMANS - it's so cool. i can't wait to see what happens with the other regions now, what their take on this is, will we give apep all the power back too eventually??

enough rambling, natlan coming in 10 MONTHS but we get some dainsleif inbetween :3 AS WELL AS LANTERN RITE

and gold/rhinedottir being mentioned?? albedo winter event comeback?? pls :c

one last thing about the quest, when we meet skirk (SUPER COOL BTW) i feel like i saw some of those dark red/black shapes like the ones the unknown god used, dunno if i'm tripping but looked SUS - just a theory

can't wait for all the characters that still have to come out too, navia especially AAAAAAA PLS BE GOOD

A nice detail that they added was that after you finish the quest, the archons unlock a new voiceline, praising and recognising furina’s sacrifice.

I was one of those who loved her over-the-top personality (while also suspecting she was not being authentic), and after this archon quest I like her character even more because her true self makes her one of the kindest and most selfless person in Genshin, she deserves so much more

I love how Focalor's plan wasn't to change fate, but to let it happen in her own way. Like Sumeru's conclusion, everything in this archon quest has been so creatively done. I'm so glad genshin has reached a new peak

4:14:43 To answer your question, Focalors couldnt have "acted earlier" because that would mean doing something before the prophecy would be fulfilled, which goes against her plan. The most important part of her plan was to actually LET the prophecy be fulfilled, but then let Neuvillette have Fontaine recover right afterwards her punishment/death. The reason why Furina had to suffer for so long is because the prophecy itself was taking really long as well (500 years, in fact).

There was an interesting— or dark— detail that if you go to Desyree's Father before continuing on, you'll see his name (Cannes). Then when Navia list out the victims, his name is amongst the victims implying he jumped into the water.

A shame that we didn't even talk to Furina at the end of this quest, felt a little bit anti-climatic, also the fact, that Focalors was like: Thanks, champ, go live your life to the fullest as a free person.
If I am in Furina's place I'm not coming out of my house ever again, like c'mon now, what do you mean "Go live happily now". Girl needs a big ass THERAPY for that 500 years of mental torture, like...

ive said this in another video but, I think most people missed this dark detail, but Cannes, the father of Desyree that we saw crying at the entrance of poisson.. was also included in the list of victims paimon was reciting. We can then sadly assume that shortly after we heard him cry out Desyree’s name he… followed her daughter in the afterlife
